About me…

Hi, I’m Kat. As a child I was a gymnast, hurdler and triple jumper & always loved being active. I studied Physical Education & Sports Science at University. Straight after uni I moved to Italy and pursued a career teaching English & Drama.

Apart from walking fitness fell by the wayside due to crazy work hours & after a few years I realised that my anxiety was getting worse and I knew something needed to change. Thankfully my work colleagues bought me a course of Pole dancing classes for my Birthday and I immediately fell in love with the sport & saw my mental health drastically improve.

I eventually returned to the UK to be closer to my family and my gorgeous baby nephews. I retrained initially as a Personal trainer and Pilates instructor & later specialised in antenatal, postnatal fitness and exercise for older adults.

I had been suffering with pains in all my joints for years but they were getting worse and worse back in England to the point where just getting out of bed or going for a walk brought me to tears & after several years of tests and seeing many different specialists I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia & Raynaud’s. Though there is no cure, many lifestyle factors can reduce symptoms. I sat down and realised that although I was helping all my students get fit, I had really started neglecting my own fitness. I started doing Pilates, Pole dancing and running but really faced my own internal battle because for the first few months of increasing my activity levels I felt terrible, the pains got worse, I had zero energy and felt like I had a constant fever but I trusted in the research and finally I started to see a difference and now all these years later I feel so lucky that most days are really good.

For me, the key to sticking with exercise has been firstly, finding something which I really enjoy and secondly, finding a community/place that is truly supportive, friendly & understanding because we are all unique and each persons journey is so different.

I am truly passionate about my fitness business & I feel so privileged that I get to meet & teach all of my wonderful & inspiring students who make my job so much fun and I will continue to help people on their fitness journey in whatever way I can.
